I read somewhere that artificial intelligence had identified it's 'theoretical' potential. If Covid causes inflammation rheum drugs seem potentially intetesti g.

Yes, just heard this too!

I used to be on Baracitinib. Very interesting article. Covid-19 does cause inflammation in the lungs so seems feasible.

I'm on it at the moment so fingers crossed

There’ve been quite a few articles about the possibility of a range of drugs used for RA being helpful in treating Covid-19. It’s something to do with the way they pinpoint very small and specific bits of the immune system to stop it going haywire (or in our case to get it back from being haywire).

Fingers crossed.

I can't help but think of Trump's campaign to push hydroxychloroquine! Scary s#it that.

I slways worry when drugs are touted as the next best thing with very little evidence. I particularly dislike the use if drugs off label.

Thank you for your answer Trump is always scary but this is'nt being touted as the next best thing it is just one of many drugs that is being researched to see if it can be a treatment for covid 19. Not sure if its an of label drug as its use is to block inflammation in RA

Baricitinib wasn't working for me, so a change of meds. I started tocilizumab yesterday 🤞

I started tocilizumab injections 6 weeks ago and have not seen any benefit yet, though i have been going through a particularly bad time for the last 4-5 months. I had this drug via infusions many years ago. It seemed to help then. Hope it helps.

It is helping thank you, I'm taking the baricitinib in pill form. Was told it is a new drug so I agreed to try it
