Hi astra jewel, outside of public health England it appears that Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland appears to be a little behind with the information, advice and support. Letters here in Wales are due to be arriving shortly according to rheumatology dept (spoke to them today).

So fingers crossed we will catch up with the rest of England soon.

Stay safe.

It's worrying to say the least but I think if we all air on the side of caution and behave like it is going to be a 12 week lock down, we would be in good standing. Just wait for the letter that's my plan.

I'm in Edinburgh and haven't received my letter yet, although my GP did call me regarding shielding. I think the Scottish letters should start arriving soon.

I got mine 9 days ago, down in SW ie Dumfries & Galloway region. Sent by Rheumatology Dept but worded exactly as guidelines by Gov.

Likely yours will turn up, just there are many more infected in your area therefore all services are stressed.

If in doubt, call your Rheumatology Dept.

Nope, nada. I’ve decided to err on the side of caution and have no intention of going out until it’s all over

Snap, better safe than sorry. I know our wonderful NHS is under extreme pressure at these weird times so until the letter gets here I am battening down the hatches. Looks like you guys and girls up north are having the same issues as us here in Wales.I have faith it will not be to much longer.

For sure!

To be honest, if my letter comes, it comes. It’s not something I need in terms of work, I know as much as the next in terms of what we are to do to keep as safe as we can and, information regarding how to get help is on the Scot. gov website so I’m not sure what the letter will add to that?

It was a gorgeous day here today and I have to admit, it’s probably the first day that I’ve actively wished I could just walk out the house and go about my normal business.

Nicola sturgeon keeps telling us we are in this for the ‘long haul ‘ so I had to remind myself that at least I have a garden, food for the table, secure employment and income so way luckier than a lot of people - I’ll just get on with it!

Stay safe x

I'm in East Lothian, and haven't received a letter......but my gp rang me, and told me to shield. If I get one, it won't make any difference to what I 'm doing!!

Hi I haven't received a letter but I contacted my RA team and was told that I was at risk because of the injection im on. I'm a nurse and now having to shield for 3 months. I spoke to my ward manager whom contacted the HR department who also confirmed that I should sheild . It goes down as special leave and not sick time. So if I were you contact your GP or RA nurse to find out either way. Hope this helps. Take care Jax x
