Has anybody read anything about hydroxychloroquine protecting against viruses? Apparently there was something on the lupus group but I can’t find it. Doesn’t make sense to me.

Hydroxychloroquine is also used to treat malaria. There were some investigations as it was suggested it might be effective against HIV - but I haven't seen any positive results so perhaps that came to nothing. And there were also some trials for dengue fever...
I have not seen anything about it being a general anti-viral medication.
