Had my 1st injection of Humira

Had 1st injection of Humira yesterday at Rheumy’s office, instructed by nurse. Over the nervous feeling. Fatigue and tiredness hit me yesterday after getting back home but nothing drastic, so far no side effects other than slight dull headache and its very slight. I hope it doesn’t get worse as day progresses. I do believe I slept better than I have been doing. I’m hoping this positive reaction continues. If I didn’t know better, I’d swear my pain level this Morning is ever so slightly better but wonder if its just wishful thinking. Did anyone else feel this way after 1st injection?

Maybe what you’re experiencing is relief? If you were nervous about your injection beforehand and now it’s all over you have relaxed? I got myself worked up about my first injection and didn’t realise until afterwards how wound up I’d been. Not sleeping well etc. If symptoms get worse though ring your rheumy nurse for reassurance. 🤞🏻 for you.

KittyJ, I think you “hit the nail on the head”. I didn’t realize how worked up I was until it was over with. I know now I won’t have a problem administering the shots myself. Now I just pray that Humira does what it is supposed to do.
