I have been feeling unwell with a tight upper chest on exertion for a little while now. I consulted with my Cardiologist, routinely yesterday ( Cholesterol check, which was fine) and mentioned my tightness. I am shocked to say he thinks it may be Mild Angina I am wondering if this is down to MXT which I have taking for nearly 2 years now, 20mgm orally weekly, which is suiting me joint wise, any thoughts please?

There doesn't seem any significant link between angina and methotrexate. If you are already seeing a cardiologist, this suggests that you already have some problem with your cardiovascular system? It is always tempting to blame our medication for any problems that arise while taking it, but common things, like angina, do happen commonly. Hope you do well on any treatment necessary.
About 27% of all deaths in the UK are due to heart and circulatory disease - sadly heart problems are all too common whether or not you have RA.
