Horrible, isn’t it? If you’re in the UK, maybe you’d like to call the NRAS helpline tomorrow. They are very good.
misaanthrope keep reaching out and as charisma has said call NRAS as they might have a support group coming your way soon if in the UK and force yourself to do something nice for you evry day if you can, even a coffee watching the world go by.
misaanthrope Deeb2908 makes a good suggestion, getting outside for a wee while is so beneficial. If you can manage wrap up and get out , feel the wind in your face, perhaps go to the park, say hello to someone, look at the beautiful autumnal colours.
Come back here to the forum and let us know what you did and how you feel later on today ?
It’s a very isolating disease especially while you are waiting for a diagnosis and meds and you can’t do the things you used to. We are your new neighbours and will be here for support until your rheumy appointment and after diagnosis (If any). In the meantime do as much as you can to look after yourself. As said before try to get out of the house each day even if only to go round the block. All these years after diagnosis I still do this every day and it does help. Keep coming here to talk to us however much you want, whenever you want. 🤗
What is ‘befriends’ Ajay? I’ve never heard of that. Are you in the U.K.?
They also offer a telephone service where one person befriends you and phones you once a week, to talk about everything, anything and nothing, just to say hello.
Thanks, never been offered it either 😔
