Struggling with life generally at the moment. Seen rheumy in March after being on hydroxy for just over 3 months and told 6 months was the usual time for benefits to start to show so mistakenly thought I would be recalled in June! Called to be told I'm on 9 month recall but they are running late so might be into 2020 before I'm seen again. Is it any wonder I'm struggling keeping the black dog under control! 😢

In limbo
sending a virtual hug as I lay prone on the easy chair feeling like every joint is being pulled. Call you Doctor and see if they can call consultant for you, you never know......
So sorry to hear of your struggles. My heart goes out to you. I am waiting to see my rheumy as I have been off meds for 10 months now due to a horse accident and very large wound whupich has healed beautifully,.
I am in the middle of a flare and can't wait to get back on methotrexate.
Are you on meds for depression at all. I didn't realise how badly depressed I was until about 6 weeks ago and had npmy meds increased. I am coping much better even though I am up to my eyeballs in painkillers.
I hope you find ways to cope with the wait. Try to find ways to relax and be extra kind to yrself. This is a tough time for you but believe in yourself that you will get through it.
Wishing you all the best
Rosie❤
I too am in limbo. I have been bad since Christmas and getting worse. I can’t see my consultant till August and have been on the cancellation list since March. My GP can do nothing and my ankles are so bad I can only waddle (work are not happy that I keep having to take days off and that I have reduced my working day to 1 1/2 hours) so worried there will be permanently damaged. The rheumy nurse is so busy can’t fit me in for another steroid injection 🤯But on the bright side the fatigue has gone after months😄thank God for small mercies. NHS needs a good overhaul.
That sounds too long to wait to be seen when you are unwell. Can you call again and ask to be seen sooner ?
Do you have a rheumatology nurse to phone? If not then go back to the GP to contact the rheumy department for you.
It is unfortunately the way of things to put administrative decisions to reduce costs as an obstacle to good care. There are insufficient numbers of staff to deal with the number of patients and unless pressure is brought to bear on the administration, they won't appoint more staff.
