Hi I get hives a lot. I was referred to dermatology by my Rhumy and I know take Fexofenadine which is an anti histamine which doesn’t make you drowsy as even the non drowsy ones do. You have to get it on prescription but it is the only thing that stops the hives otherwise I would be covered from head to toe and it’s so itchy. Hope this helps xxSarah

Yes I’ve got RA. Diagnosed 16 years ago properly but was suffering for a few years before. The hives have only been the last few years since being on biologics but not sure if it’s related. I think it is as both are immune systems out of sync. I feel that the hives are worse if I’m warm inside but my skins cold if that makes sense. Like in bed and my arms are out the bed it flares up in my arms. xx

I too get this problem and take fexofenadine an anti histamine which does help with the itching. It's mainly across my back and shoulders. See your GP and get some x

I have had hives due to taking Sulphasalazine 22 years ago which was my first RA med. Have your hives coincided with the start of a new med? Mine was the Sulpha side effects triggered by the sunlight .. Indirect and direct. Was glad to come off that med even though it worked well for me. I was covered in itchy bumps and blotchy redness each May to October. I don't think RA in general is ever given me hives but certain allergies such as soya, shellfish and strawberries have.
