Don’t know about methotrexate but when I had a tooth out a couple of years ago my after-care sheet told me the usual about what not to eat or drink - nothing hot. To rest, not to do anything strenuous etc and also to take high strength (1000mcg) vitamin C. I did all that and made a really fast recovery, I put it down to the vitamin C. Good luck!i was a nervous wreck and it turned out to be no problem.

You really need to discuss this with your doctor and dentist before the intervention. We can't tell you as it depends on the state of your overall health, and how active your RA is. I hope it all goes well.

I think it depends on what sort of mtx your on. Seek advice from your dr.xxxx

Tell your dentist about your meds and he might advise you

I never had to stop methotrexate for any procedures/surgery in the past. The only times I had to temporarily stop methotrexate is when I was on antibiotics for infection.

My rheumatology team have always said to stop MTX when on antibiotics. Hopefully you got the right advice before the procedure. Hope it went well.

Yes! You shouldn’t take metho while you are on any antibiotics. You can start up when you’ve finished it.
