I have seen the ad on tv it looks good
has anyone taken it?
No, but looks like it’s all wrapped up in one parcel so might try it instead of separate ones I take at mo; cheers Veronica x
well I got them today, but and there is a but they are 18 pounds !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so it better work :O)
Whaaat? Might carry on with Tesco’s separate stuff in that case: do they make a difference either, no idea, just kid myself it’s healthy lol x
For 30 days worth! That's £216, over, for a year. Bloomin expensive for a supplement & won't replace meds unfortunately. As with any other supplement discuss whether it's something you should or shouldn't take with your Rheumy Veronica.
I only worry about today, I let tomorrow take care of it self
I am on second day of it and it says it takes a month to notice benefits but I can honestly say its helping with pain already in only two days, so its worth it to me, any pain relief is worth it to me
Have you checked how much of each content we're recommended to have? For example for Omega 3 to be effective it's 3000mg a day, the supplement has only 178mg. Similarly for Glucosamine, it's 1500mg a day, there's only 240mg. I think it might be better if each is bought separately, then you know you're receiving effective doses, that's my take on it, that is if your Rheumy thinks you'd benefit from them.
If you needed those supplements your doctor would prescribe them....save your money to buy fresh fruit & vegetables.
I do eat veg and fruit agedccrone
the omage3 is good to take as your body doesn't make it
turmeric is good to for pain
and vit D is good plus vit c
so all good to take
so worth the ,money spent to me
But do you know you are deficient in any of the ingredients...have you asked your rheumy for tests? You really shouldn't take any supplements without running it past your doctors.
You have tried so many things in the last few months....... you need to give anything at least three months before you can say it is or isn't helping, & certainly an OTC pill couldn't work in 24 hrs. I know you really need something to help you cope, & if your doctor says it's OK....stick to it for three months & see how you feel.
I'm sorry to pour cold water on your new pills.....but you really do need to talk to your doctors...& get some proper RA meds..........as we all know it can take a long time to get the drugs that are right for you....but you just have to stick with them.......if OTC meds were all we needed, this site would not exist.
I used to give this stuff to my Border Collies for Osteoarthritis. The one without the Tumeric. I'm unconvinced it helps with Rheumatoid. I agree with the others Veronica. You must give your treatments a chance to work otherwise you won't ever know what's working for you. Best of luck!
I know you all mean well, and I am going to take the meds ,I am all set to take them, eyes had all clear, got right brand now, so all set, just need stomach protector and a way I go
most people on here take vit D and C, and rest can't harm you
it can come a cross on here a bit like bullying, although I know you all are just being kind but it can come across like that
I am going to take he meds :O))))))))))))))))))))))))))
I'm sorry if you think the opinions & advice you receive here feels like bullying, it truly isn't, it's caring. You must understand we're concerned for you... you have a diagnosis, have been given medication but there's always a reason for you to delay taking it. I appreciate you have BDD but that's going to become, or even possibly has become, the reason for not taking meds which could slow the progression of joint damage, a change in good joints becoming a real problem, just the changes seen more inside than out, for now. You've asked question after question about it, been given honest experiences, I just wish I could sit beside you & explain how it's really not going to do you any harm, not relative to what your disease can do unmedicated, only good.
Then you'll buy a supplement that won't do anything to tackle the disease which you've told us is now causing you more problems. It can't work in two days, do you not think it's you wishing it will work, thinking it is? Yes, some of us do take some of the constituents, I take Vitamin D alongside a prescribed calcium/Vitamin D for osteoporosis related issues, not RD. I also take Omega 3 but for OA not RD. I also take Vitamin C, but through food not a supplement, to fight off any nasties, colds & such, not for RD. It costs me next to nothing.
We've all been at the start of treatment so we do understand but now you're delaying starting your HCQ until you have your stomach protector. If you needed one would it not have been prescribed at the same time? Apols if it's for something else but the two aren't usually prescribed together. Either way you know not to take them at the same time don't you? Leave 3 hours between.
I think all we've done is been trying to help & maybe in doing so we've not actually done any good for you. Will you promise us it's the last we will need to try & reason with you why you really do need take your HCQ? All we're doing is caring for a fellow RD'er. I just hope I've not fanned the flames! x
no I understand your all being caring
and thank you
I am I promise going to take meds, tomorrow :O) but I am promise, tomorrow is my D day
Thank you everyone for being so caring xxx
£216 would buy a smashing new winter coat Veronica......we are truly not bullying you .....we are giving our honest opinions......most of us have been in the place you are - trying anything to feel better........& I know how desperate you are feeling, but I honestly do think finding the right RA drug is the way to go. I hope you are continuing on your RA meds?
I do hope you find YOUR RA drug very soon, but if your Rheumy agrees stick to this supplement for at least 3 months, & then let us know what you think.
You will get the right meds Veronica .......sadly nobody can predict when.
I just add turmeric to soups and fish stews, think glucosamine more for osteo?
