I’ve been having ongoing problems with feet and ankles. Ankles finally gave way, in the middle of the road- this is the result! Multiple breaks in each wrist ; agony!!

Oh my goodness. That's awful. Get well soon x

Oh hec! How horrible. I hope you have help at home as it must be really difficult with both arms out of action and ankles unreliable. I really hope you heal quickly.

Oh dear I am so sorry...I do hope you have somebody to look after you.

It's bad enough having one wrist in plaster let alone two.

Take care.

Helpless is bad. I hope you have someone looking after you.

I have had two falls though not as spectacular. Rheumatologist blames it on synovitis in ankles that showed on ultrasound.

But ankles and feet simply break down due to RA attacks, over time.

I hope your recovery is quick ie no complications. :-)

Oh, so sorry - what calamity. Strangely, I was wondering yesterday about you as I haven't seen anything on here from you for ages , and you were posting frequently when I joined up! Hope you're not out of action for too long, and have someone to help you.

Very sorry to hear this, the last thing any of us needs is an ‘injury’ on top of the daily grind.

Interesting (so to speak) that you broke both of your wrists. I have had my own issues with falls (due to spinal cord injury) and am therefore aware that falls tend to cause wrist damage in the young (and quick to react), and hip injuries in the older (and slower to react). So by that definition you are young and quick to react!

Don’t suppose that helps much right now, and please don’t think I’m making light of it, it must be awful having both hands out of action even without the pain. I hope you have someone around that can help.

All the best for a speedy recovery.

🙏🏻

What the heck! Oh, rotten luck Marie, you were lucky you weren't run over. It's really going to slow you down isn't it but I'm sure you'll be looked after very well. I hope they mend properly so you're not in the casts any longer that necessary.

Have they not given you anything to deal with the pain? I know inflammation is part of the healing process but I hope something has been recommended or prescribed. What have they said about your ankles?

Don't be responding to each post, we understand. That is unless you're using voice recognition!

Sending healing thoughts & very gentle hugs. x
