Is Morton’s Neuroma connected to RA?

Hi all, just getting some feedback hopefully...I have a Morton’s neuroma & actually just had an ultrasound guided infusion of cortiso steroids yesterday.(trying before surgery) ....Upon researching & checking other RA sites I am amazed at the actual amount of R A sufferers who also have this condition , despite being told by my consultant that it is definately not caused by RA? Does anyone else think that it could be caused by problems with the small bones in the foot being affected by RA then causing a secondary event which actually ends up causing the neuroma? Perhaps we should all flag this with NRAS..what do you all think? 😘

Hmm don't know. A friend of mine has them and she's as fit as a flea!

I have them one on each foot. Very painful like walking on glass. I had surgery and they were removed but came back, I haven't had an MRI but, I know they are back exact same spot. I have had the cortisone injections which are very painful but do bring some relief.

I was told yes by surgeon and have had them removed three times by a surgery and many injections but in the end the injections just put off the surgery. Some won't do it but we have insurance and its best way forward. I have no idea why its related as my foot was not deformed just really hurt. On the other hand its commonly known as policemans foot so may have more than one cause and its down to luck.
