Adalimumab success....
Hi folks. Just wondered how you guys injecting Adali... - NRAS
Hi folks. Just wondered how you guys injecting Adalimumab are getting on. This is my next treatment plan as nothing has worked for me.
Hi Loura,
I've been on Adalimumab/Humira for about eight years now and have no complaints really. I inject once a fortnight and the only thing that has changed is where I inject it - at first I used to do it around my abdomen but I found it quite painful sometimes as I often seemed to hit a nerve (that's what it felt like). Then a different rheumy nurse suggested doing it in the fatty part of my thigh, alternating sides, and that has made a real difference - it's absolutely painless there.
Maybe I've just been lucky, but I've had no noticeable side-effects either. Good luck and have faith...this could be the one for you!
just got my next two doses. this will be number 7 and 8. I take antihistamine anyway but have no soreness at all at site of injection and so far working really well.
I am slightly worse so reinstating the full dose of leflunomide again. I halved leflunomide and hydroxychloraquine a month ago. think this was too quick as gone backwards slightly. hoping this improves matters but my ferratin levels have also plummeted again so guess all drugs just sorting themselves out. so far happy with Humira… so fingers crossed for you as well
