Hi I’m Anne new to the site and was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis earlier on this year.I was put on methotrexate 6 weeks ago after sulfasalazine reduced my immune system to nothing so was taken off that.

I am thinking of trying fermented foods does anyone know if it’s ok with methotrexate..?

Hello Anne, it's unfortunate that you had to join the club, but welcome here. We are not qualified to answer medical questions, so please ask your doctor or nutritionist. We are all so different, what is OK for one is bad for the other. I hope you find an answer.

I too failed on Sulphasalazine...drug from hell....but went on to have 7 very successful years on Mtx...hope you have the same.

Sorry, don't know anything about fermented foods.....but they don't sound very tasty....I eat a sensible diet,have a glass of wine & don't smoke.

That is as far as I'm willing to go life style wise.
