Hiya Denise. I thought that Benepali worked any time from 2 to 12 weeks. If that is right it seems odd that you'd notice weight gain exactly one week after your initial injection, it doesn't seem to follow that if it takes a while to work it would cause weight gain so quickly. You're not on any other meds that could be attributed to it, ones you've been taking a few weeks or months, steroids (oral or injection), antihistamines? You've not become more sedentary recently? When we're not as active it can put pounds on, as can unusually excessive hunger caused by meds.

If it's really bothering you I'd talk to your biologics nurse, she'll know all the possible side effects & maybe be able to advise.
