I’m 37 yrs old and was diagnosed with RA Dec, 2017. I was prescribed Diclofenac 75mg twice a day and prednisone. It’s helped with the joint pain and swelling in my feet, ankles, knees and hands, but has some little to help with the joint pain in my jaw. Injection in my jaw scheduled in two weeks. I’m really hoping that it helps!

Hope so for your sake too! What country are you in, as not usual in U.K. to be given diclofenac and prednisone. Or is this just temporary relief 'till they work out more details?
Hi
Like Helixhelix I wonder if the current way you are being treated is just temporary as for most people with RA in the UK, the standard treatment would be different. If you have not read the information on the NRAS site about treatments then perhaps it may be of help to look at these pages nras.org.uk/the-patient-jou... as well as the NICE guidelines nice.org.uk/guidance/cg79. If you are able you could also try calling the helpline on 0800 298 7650, our lines are open from Mon- Thurs 9.30 -4.30.
Best wishes
Lorraine
I live in the U.S. It is a temporary solution. I was diagnosed by my M.D. My appointment to see the rheumatologist isn’t until the 26th of this month.
