Hi all I'm new the this I was diagnosed with RA in October this year after months of debilitating pain and every joint pain full now I'm on the medication the last 2 weeks the pain has eased

Big welcome.Good you are getting pain relief with Christmas on your doorstep. It just makes you miserable being in pain.What medication are you being started on

Thank you I'm on hydroxchoroguine ( 400mg pre day ) methotrexate (20mg pre week) and 10 mg of prednisone per day

I was started on methotrexate but not on now but like you am on the 10 mg prednisolone and have been 5 years.I take sulfasalazine and Hydroxychlorine and Pregabalin. Still not under control.I have tried 3 biologics. On my next appointment and Leflunomide has been mentioned.

Methotrexate is strong drug and should help alot.Hope you continue to be comfortable

sorry you have had to join our community, but many of us find it very supportive. You are welcome to have a good moan here as everyone will understand! It's a good source of information about ways to manage this long term disease too, although some people's ideas are not mainstream, so always do your own research.

Have you looked at the NRAS website too? That has loads of good reliable information and lots of things - like the exercise videos - which really help you to see how to get on with your life now it's a bit different.
