I also get flare ups when I’m sick. And sadly I’m an very sick today. Not the flu thank god but definitely something making me miserable. How’s everyone else’s week going though?

Currently on 2week of antibiotics for Chest/lung infection, it's not keeping my housebound though as I'm still exercising xxx

Sorry to hear you're not well. Not being on meds yet will be a factor in this I'm afraid. That you're not in continual flare is a mini miracle to be honest so I hope you get over whatever it is that's ailing you soon. Do you think you're sick enough to visit a doctor? It's just it may take longer to get over a bug that otherwise if you were a healthy teen you'd just shake off. Meantime keep wrapped up warm & take good care. x

I actually am always flared up. Most days aren’t as bad as cold icky or sick days. That’s when it gets the worst. And my mom believes it’s just dehydration cause I couldn’t get up to get another water last night when I was still thirsty. And then I have ibsd so that didn’t really help

Aw, that's not fair. I do wish your mom was more sympathetic, both you & I know she can't really think it's dehydration. You must have been in a bad way if you couldn't get up, I'm sorry. When you do see a Rheumy, the last I read you were seeing one on the 20th Dec, is that still on? x

I only couldn’t get up because I was super flared up last night lol

Yes, but it's not dehydration causing it is it? I understand how difficult it can be, but you'll get there, once you're back in your meds it will get easier. x

The dehydration actually makes sense cause I feel better now that I have water in me. My room got really hot last night

I keep a bottle of water by me, even through the night. as I have Sjogren's Syndrome, so my mouth gets very dry.

My mouth only gets dry when I’m thirsty. I usually have a water bottle by me because I take all my pills at night. I’m thinking I need to start having two by me at all times. Lol

Hi I wish I can say I'm having a good week. Due to the amount of sick I've had this year I need to either reduce my hours further or do less hours during the day.

I had three options

1 4.5 hours 9 - 13:30 5 days a week

2 5.5 hours 9-3 pm need to take a 30 minutes lunch break 4 days a week

3 can't remember 3rd option I think it was reduce to 2 days a week

On the first 2 options 22.5 hours no change to hours option 2 22 hours

I'm steering towards 5.5 4 days a week.

They also said I may need to change my day off to suit the service. Which is not going to help me as I was booking my appointments for my days off.

I think I need to ask that I have 4 - 6 weeks rota to allow me to book my hospital appointments

You definitely should. Hospital visits are very important and if you can’t afford them your kind of screwed

I'm reasonably healthy at the moment, thank you for asking. I'm just trying to get some crochet and knitting finished for Christmas. Elf slipper socks for three grandchildren and little jackets for another. I wish you felt better. To have all this Ill health at your age seems so unfair. I'm truly hoping your appointment on 20th will give you some answers and you can start effective treatment. Hugs

Jan
