Hi,my first time posting. I started abatacetp 8 weeks ago. It's definitely helping me but for the last 3 days my scalp feels very sore like it's been burnt. I've had terrible dizziness, blurred vision and tiredness from the first injection. As anyone else had side affects on this drug because I was told there's no size affects with it but it's only since I started this medication. Feeling confused 😕
Abatacetp : Hi,my first time posting. I started... - NRAS
Abatacetp
I have been on abatacept self inject since Nov 13 and the only issue I have is low WBC and Neut values but this has not caused me any issues. For me the DMARD group gave me loads of side effects but nothing with biologics. Farm
I was told by my rheaumtoglist biologics can cause scalp problems .as I started to get sore scalp with flake patches said it's like psoriasis. Hope this helps amy
Hi HBJ65, I recently changed from Humira to Abatacept due to side effects, I got shingles which has taken a while to clear. However, since changing to Abatacept I have had sore patches on my scalp too, just assumed it was the aftermath of the shingles. Whilst on Humira I also suffered with psoriasis. Abatacept seems to working well so far for me, but if I was you I would definitely speak to your GP or Rheumatology department.
Hi, I've made an appointment to see my GP and waiting for Biologics nurse to phone back. Generally feel rubbish so maybe picked something up😕x
