I had an episode this morning where my blood pressure dropped and I ended up on the floor for 30mins, cold sweats and horrendous nausea and stomach cramps.
I eventually came too and felt better, question had first dose of Mtx on Friday just gone, does it cause a drop in bp as a side effect?
Thanks
Nina

I am better this afternoon, just feeling like a truck has hit me! I have emailed my Rhumy. Will go back to work tomorrow and check the blood pressure. Am pretty sure that's what is was.
Hi as others have said that's a pretty grave reaction to meds, I wouldn't presume to diagnose yourself, having a bit of a funny turn is one thing a full blown collapse is another, you need to get checked today, what would have happened if you were driving or even on concrete.
I've never had a drop in BP on MTX, mine was always bob on til I started leflunomide when it rose, a known side effect, but 9 months on & that's settled now. It is one thing that's listed as something to tell your doctor about if it happens on MTX . So I'd do just that, see what's made of it. How's your BP normally, is it on the low side of normal?
Hi Ninja, just seen your post, as a nurse you should know that it was nescassary for you to get checked and by now you hopefully have, what was the diagnosis
Got checked out yesterday I do have a postural drop in bloop pressure was ok yesterday. I have upped my eating and drinking in the evening as I tend not to eat dinner.
Have taken it slow for the last couple of mornings and have felt ok. Haven't heard from the Rhumy yet.
The doctor believes that it was not related to medication and was more of reaction to low blood pressure.
Thank you everyone for caring it's nice to know that you are there.
I hope today finds you all well and as pain free as possible.
