Hi everyone been put on 15mg butormophin patches now up from ten mgs only put on on Friday but feel a bit light headed since been on them has anyone eles felt like this when first been on patches . Also i know that on the box it says no alcohol but has anyone actually had a drink while been on them

Hello, I'm on the patches and have been for about 4/5 years, I was light headed for a short while then ok, I'm now on 35 mg per hour on a 4 day patch.

If I had know about the addiction prior, I don't think I would have started lol, it certainly helps me now, so maybe when you feel you need more think twice. I don't know how junkies cope with out the drug lol I forgot to put a new patch on after my shower and I had an emergency so off I went about 50 miles from home and my nose just blocked up lol and I struggled all the way home by then I was in a big mess and forgot about putting a new patch on lol, for 3 days and nights I was as sick as pig, then it dawned on me about the patch lmao and put one on asap but I was still poorly for about 3 more days until the morphine started to bring me round lol.

When I told my wife she went mad lol, I had a supply of patches so I was really ok BUT how the hell these people who are addicted and they don't have a supply like we have so they will be in a right mess.

Thanks for your reply hopefully the light headed feeling will pass soon have you had alcohol while been on patches .and wot about been in the sun only going away .

I did drink a little and was ok and now I still have a couple cans of lager in the week lol and small whiskey/Whisky lol depends where it is made for the name lol, so going over the top with the Alcohol and if you get drunk don't blame me lmao.

Happy time comes to us all, still waiting for mine lol.

Have you been in the sun with your patches on or do you know anyone who had been in the heat iam a bit worried about when i go away

Yes I've been in the sun and even swim too. Don't worry, just don't go mad on it lol.

Hi Mich, I'm on buprenorphine patches, although the smallest dose, and I've been swimming and sunbathing with them. They are fine. If you go on holiday, just take some micropore-style tape with you for extra security. You can buy from a pharmacy like Boots.

I can't tolerate alcohol as well since this patch, sadly. It makes me fall over. 😳 I do have the occasional drink anyway but I have definitely noted a difference, I'm sorry to say.

If you feel lightheaded, I'd avoid alcohol for a while anyway, to be honest. It's early days on the new dose of patch. If you are still feeling dizzy, maybe you need a review as the dose might not be right?

Hi 1965mich I am on 75mgr fantanyl patches and have been sunbathing in the sun in gran canaria I do have a couple of Bacardi coke at home but I didn't on holiday as they make there drinks so strong you will be alright with just a couple of pints as have a lovely holiday oh sun bathing I stayed in the sun about 1-1half hrs at a time you should be alright
