Fluid on knees

Morn8ng all.advice please knees fluid. Hi 8 can't have tablets or steroid injections. My knees have fluid no pain just uncomfortable. Any advice on exercise. I'm 65 female tiny. I'm active .I'm wondering if I need to do strength ing exercises. Thanks for reading

Hi,

I would have though water based exercise would be good because it takes the weight off your feet and knees and also offers that gentle massage effect - you do not need to swim if you dont want to as gentle walking against the water will help but physio advice would be advisable.

Thank you .I am just getting ready to go and swim. Just didn't know if exercise would make fluid worse .thank you

I have had a similar issue. My knees were huge from synovial fluid and it pushed back behing my knee. It is called a Baker's Cyst or popileteal cyst. I have found the riding a bike at the gym has work immensely. The motion of the legs going around acts like a fluid pump. I now try and ride 30 minutes per day and it is keeping the fluid from pooling in my knees and ankles.

Also, try some range of motion water exercise classes. I know a lot of people at the gym/pool i go to that swear by the water classes.

Wow I have a bike.i haven't been on I thought it would make it worse.ankles and knees have fluid. I will try it this week .thanks
