Hi drink plenty off water and that should reduce the side effects , I do my injection at bed time so if there's any side effects I sleep them off and it might take a couple off months for it to start working properly but everybody's different so for you it might work quicker

Thank you, it's all a bit scary.

I had few side effects, and probably only for first couple of months. These days the only noticeable effect is that I'm a little tired the following morning so usually plan an extra hour in bed.

On mtx day, I sit on the couch with a big container of ice water and I watch movies on the TV. Lots of people take their mtx at night. I take mine first thing on Friday morning because I don't like waking up in the mornigs grogy. You will find which works best for you.

My side effects last 24 hours. Please remember to take your folic acid as prescribed by your doctor. There is a big debate between doctors on how much folic acid to take, when to take it, etc. Just follow the advice of your doctor.

Take care

Sue

Morning, I started methotrexate injections 12 weeks ago and so far haven't 'noticed' any side effects.

The thought of the possible side effects was very scary..............so hope this continues!

I take mine in the morning, feel tired the following morning and have a lowered appetite for a day -(no bad thing). It might be more psychological than real side effect in my case - sometimes when I'm distracted by events I don't get the exhaustion and realise later that I've been OK.

You might find, like I did, that the longer I was on it, the less I felt the side affects. And like others have mentioned here, I took my a couple of hours before bed so I could sleep the side effects off.

Thank you all , I'm feeling really tired and have a slight headache all the time but I'm hoping that will all stop once I get used to taking it.

I was thinking of taking it on a Sunday morning as I don't have to go to work .
