I have had RA for about 4 years. In the past eight months I have come down with Divervictilitus this time I've been hospitalised with an abcess on colon. Wondering if anyone has had this experience.

Not sure you can blame the RA for the diverticulitis as it's extremely common in the over 50's. Or rather having diverticula is, and turning into diverticular disease. Slightly less frequent to have it break out into diverticulitis. I 've had a couple of bouts - not hospitalised - which were painful & unpleasant so I feel for you. Not a nice experience!
But anyway I've not read anything that says it's inked to RA, although logic says that having uncontrolled inflammation in our bodies can't help!
Hope this was the last bout and all's now fine and stays that way.
