Is one worse than the other?
Someone told me there is more pain with RA without psoriasis. Is this true?

Don't know if there is much difference. I think in both cases there are those who experience severe arthritis.
I have psoriatic arthritis, and the pain am stiffness can be unbearable at times.
It's harder to dx . Both RA and PA are similar until you start to show things like ridges in nails red hands and of course psoriasis . Both require same treatment .
Not sure about the terms you use. Psoriatic Arthritis is a separate disease from Rheumatoid Arthritis. I don't believe that one is worse than the other, a lot depends on how severely affected a person is by either disease. Plus pain is a difficult thing to pin down. My rheumy told me that some people with inflammatory arthritis can genuinely be in severe pain with just one affected finger while others with extensive disease don't experience much pain at all.
Rheumatoid Arthritis and Psoriatic Arthritis are 2 separate disease that share some common symptoms.
Ask your friend which banana she likes. Does she like the orange type or the apple type banana?
Impossible question to answer I'm afraid.
Both are similar, both get treated by the same drugs at least until the last line of treatment.
Sometimes it's impossible to tell them apart and initially diagnose.
What is severe and painful disease for one will not be for another. One thing is certain however, both are incurable sadly.
Hope you find the information you are seeking and best wishes to you.
