Recommendations

I am considering changing hospital to one closer to home and wondered if anyone could recommend a consultant (RA) in the Lancashire area. (Preston).

Hiya Elizabeth. This isn't a personal recommendation because I don't attend there but I believe from another member here that the Minerva Centre by the PNE football ground is good. The Preston & District NRAS group meet there so it might be helpful popping along to their next meet? I'm not sure when the next one is but you could look out for the notification.

thank you. Minerva is on the list of places I can go for my blood tests, unfortunately, as I work full time in Manchester (hopefully not for much longer) the times are not convenient! I will look out for the NRAS meeting.

Hi--- Elizabeth -- I think it is me that NMH is talking about. I attend the Minerva clinic in Preston . I have always found all the staff, from consultants, nurses , physios, receptionists-- to be brilliant. Fantastic service. 😊

I will keep it in mind for when/if I decide to change. Currently I use the Kellgren at Manchester Royal and am very happy there plus it means I can pop in from work, so I do not miss a whole afternoon. (work are getting sniffy about the time I have had off!)

I thought I would try the Royal Preston blood clinic (5-7pm) for a starter!

I've never been to that -- I have bloods done at the Minerva - physio , occupational health , podiatry etc , all in the one building . Hope you get on ok at RPH . 😊
