They will be here soon, I really am praying for oxygen at home as I have felt as if I'm craving it since leaving hospital. My voice has been terrible and I keep losing it completely. I seem incapable of talking and breathing or eating and breathing at the same time...my kids are loving the lack of voice though hahaha. Dec will be here with me as my son and carer, as hard as it is I need him to take all this in, I do think he is going to be surprised at how serious things have just got. Wish me luck! I'll give you an update after. Glad things are starting to progress with getting me the help I need. The kids have all stepped up hugely and the house is getting cleaned and cleared. And I've got my head round things much more. Much love to you all xx

Good news Cass, fingers (sort of) crossed for a good outcome.

🙏🏻

Thanks ade lol yeah crossing fingers is a bit of a chuckle in this household too. They are now on call for us, will be dropping me off a new nebuliser till I can get a new one. My o2 levels have been good since hospital (though weirdly I feel as if they are low) so I'm not suitable for oxygen therapy yet. I have drs appointment tomorrow with GP and need to take a sputum sample as I'm showing some signs of developing another infection, I worry cos I go down so quick that I feel it would be safer to have oxygen therapy at home but apparently I can call them now and they will come see me. She said we will know how to proceed once I've had the ct scan lung function tests and pulmonary consultant appointment which are all in the last two weeks of august. Hopefully if I don't come down with another infection before then we can get a good view of how much permanent damage is left behind. So keep those fingers almost crossed for me :)

I'm really pleased things are improving home wise & comm resp appreciate how bad things have got for you. Try to keep away from the general public until you've been seen, probably not difficultc for you just now, that way you're less likely to pick up any nasties. x

Thank you hun, I do feel a lot more together in my mind this week, had one or two people in to help out and have paid a small fortune for a skip to clear the rubbish (I'm a terrible hoarder) I've done most the things that were swimming round my mind at first so I feel more able to handle all these appointments and home life to the best of my ability. I have the issue of having so many kids plus their girlfriends and friends, that my house often feels like a public highway and this is how I keep getting infections. I've invested in a bottle of alcohol hand rub for by the front door..let's hope we can keep those nasties away (typing this whilst coughing up stuff ...) Xx
