Hiya I have been a sufferer of R A for th last 16 years I've just had a scan on my left ankle which has been painfull for the last 6 years and have been told I have synovitis affecting talonavicular joints and the naviculocuneiform joints can someone please advise me on my next step

synovitis is inflammation, so needs control as the rest of the RA. If it has caused damage to the joint function, you may need also to see an orthopaedic surgeon. Have you seen the podiatrist for advice about care of the joints and support if required?

Many thanks for your reply will look into your suggestion but I don't hold out much hope the hospital I'm under aren't very responsive to any of my recent flare ups just told to get on with it ???

Hi. When I had a problem with my ankle I was referred to Wrightington for an injection under xray that went through the top of my foot. Not as bad as it sounds. I have had worse injections. I then had to wear a boot for 6 weeks to let it heal. I have had no problems with it since and that was about 6 years ago.
