Received a letter today cancelling my appointment in July to September which I cannot make as on holiday.
Will call the appointments on Monday to change the appointment possibly will be a further delay.

Try to get a cancellation might be lucky
Looks like they have staff issues as my first thought was to ring their helpline and the nurses could slot you in more appropriately as often it is admin who change appointments but I see you are having issues with that as well. Good luck with appointments. Put a BIG NOTE by your phone just in case your nurse does rings you back to remind you to ask about your appointment as well as your current issue. Farm
If you could make yourself available at a few hours notice do ask to be added to the Rheumatology cancellation list, it often means you'll be seen sooner & they may well take your cancelled appointment into consideration. Do also ask if you could be seen by a nurse as a matter of urgency. If you ring your Rheumy's Secretary she should in a position to help. Be honest, tell it like it is as calmly as you can (the number should be on any paperwork you've had from your Rheumy). If you still get no joy ask your GP to intervene. They can't leave you stranded like this however pushed the department is.
