Hey all, I had a phone call from Rheumatology and I've been invited in for screening. I have no idea what to expect and would love some info on what is likely to happen.....
I'm so happy, I can't take MTX and I've been suffering despite taking Hydroxychloroquine.
Hope you're all doing as well as you can.

If this is your first appointment regarding moving onto biologics I think it would be bloods, blood pressure, weight, joint examination to get a baseline DAS score, listen to chest, chest xray and maybe other joint xrays if they have not been done recently. Nothing to worry about but perhaps tidy underwear and easy to remove clothing or trousers that will lift above the knee (sometimes I can get away with that and others I have to remove them) and short sleeves. I've just gone through this. My first appointment my swollen joints, tender ones were noted. Id been on mtx, hydroxy, sulfa for three years but now I'm flaring too much. Had my das score done, chest xray to check for any signs of Tb new or old. Then another appointment a month later, re-testing my das score etc. Yes going on biologics Humira. Had loads of bloods taken checking all sorts , hepatitis, liver, kidneys etc. I'm waiting for HAH to contact for delivery.
Bit scared but I want relief from all this pain. Good luck x
