If you do a search you'll probably find that they're contraindicated but often it doesn't state that this refers to high dose MTX, we take low dose. Many of us take both NSAIDs & MTX at the same time, I've had 4 others including naproxen before settling on etoricoxib. Much depends on your Rheumy's preferred approach but as MTX takes a while to be effective my guess would be you'll continue on it but as always check with your Rheumy nurse just to be sure. If you phone tomorrow hopefully your message will be answered before Christmas.

As an aside, you are aware regardless of however often you've been told to take the folic acid it's not taken on the same day as you take your weekly MTX aren't you?

Hope it works as well for you as it has for me.

Hope you get a quick response, like pain relief they work better if you take them regularly, as prescribed. Remember to take the folic acid every week thereafter too!
