I HAVE RA AND ALSO INTERSTITIAL LUNG DISEASE

I HAVE BEGUN TO GET PAIN IN MY CHEST AND BACK WHICH CONCERNS ME. I DONT KNOW IF THIS MEANS I'M AT THE LAST PHASE OF THE DISEASE BEFORE HOSPITALIZATION. ANYONE HAVE ANY INSIGHT ON THIS?

Pains in the back and chest are quite common with RA because it can affect the costo-chondrol (sp?) joints. It may be part of the RA picture to be managed that way, but as you have other problems you need to seek medical advice as to the cause.

It may be worth asking the question on the HU BLF site or better still see your Specialist or GP. Could be RD but your team should be able to say. Not something to just leave & see though I think you know that!

I've been getting chest pains as well last couple of days,had them before and my egg was clear,doctor thought it was my ra,a bit worried because I've got angina so if I get any more problems I'm going to a and e,I'm also hurting all over plus swollen ankles,knees and hands,managed to get an emergency appointment with reumy next thursday
