Ha! 
Although I do actually know all the traditional words. My dad wrote poetry for his own amusement & one of his favourite poets was Burns. He taught it me as a child & being young it stuck. I remember whenever it was sung him getting the grumps if anyone crossed their arms before the last verse! He was a bit of a stickler for tradition my dad! x
My brother is chairman of the Alloa and Dumfries Burns society, he would kill me for the above lol!
