METHETREXATE...Can you resume on same dose 25ml injec after 5 months break? or do you start on lower dose again?

Hi Gallini, I think you need to speak to your consultant about this. I would have thought after such a long break, that they would start you off on a lower dose but check anyway and also with your GP who should know the answer.

Thanks Lavendarlady, i have my appointment with rhumy nurse on thursday, was jus wondering really. I thought they start you on a lower dose to see if your body can handle it, i was fine on the 25 ml dose.

Hi Gallini, I agree with LL. If you tolerated the high dose it should be ok to start taking it again, however, I'd advise a lower dose to start with so you don't overwhelm your body and suffer severe side effects.

But as LL says, it's always best to check with your healthcare provider first.
