Just wanted to ask if anyone has had the feeling that their bladder is not working like the rest of their body !!, I cant seem to get very far when I feel as if i'm wetting myself and have to run (that's a laugh !) to the bathroom, and wondered if this was another RA symptom and if anyone else has had this !!??

Loosing my grip !
I felt something similar when taking Celebrex - when I wanted to go at the first sensation, there was no way of waiting slightly or holding on, it was a struggle to get to the loo in time with leaking on the way. I had to have a pot by the bed as there was no way of making it to the loo first thing. Since stopping them it has returned to normal. Farm
This could be a co-incidental bladder infection if it's come on reasonably suddenly. If it is a course of anti-biotics will clear it up. I don't know how old you are but you can also lose bladder tone after menopause and your doctor will diagnose that and there are pills (yes more pills) to control it. Unlikely to be a as a result of RD drugs but again, your GP will have the answer. Good luck.
i have been having terrible problems with this too. as has been mentioned above, it can be age related too. i have seen my GP about it and was put on a few different 'pills'. however i am also on Bio's and as a result there are some very good meds that i am not able to take. at the moment i am on patches that worked until Monday there past.......don't worry, i won't go into the details! enough to say that i had to go to Dunelm for a waterproof matress protecter!!!!!! seeing my GP on Friday......i think the next thing for me will be a wee operation......if it fixes the problem i won't really care.
This very noticeably happened to me on Humira, I would have to get to the toilet pretty smartish for both businesses! I've noticed it very slightly on Infliximab but nothing like when I was on Humira (I was only on it a couple of months. xx
Me too. My conclusion was that it was a combination of age (70), medication and lack of activity. I can't do anything about the first, and need the second. I am mobile again now, but am sure that weeks of lying in bed unable to move allowed the muscles to weaken. I now practise pelvic floor exercises and definitely notice an improvement. When peeing, I deliberately cease the flow a couple of times which tightens the muscles as much as possible. I also do pelvic floor exercises as part of Pilates - or Arthrilates as I call my rather pathetic attempt.
Thank you all for your replies, I saw my GP yesterday and she has changed my blood pressure tablets and she told me to drink decaf tea and coffee, so we will see what happens now.
Well done Jora for doing the pelvic floor exercises, I have tried but it doesn't seem to make any difference !
