Can anyibe recommend gloves for very cold fingers. They go very white to tips when touch anything cold and need to put then in hot water
Thanks poemsgalore (love the name) yes I have looked at some, wondered if anyone had actually purchased any that worked.
Thanks
There is a Raynauds site on health unlocked, well worth looking there for advice too, it's very good and very helpful, lots of happy friendly people as on NRAS.
My problem is that I don't generate any heat in my hands for gloves to keep my hands warm. If you know what I mean.
I have tried all types of thermal, wind proof, battery heated ones, hand warmers etc.
I love ugg boots as they are the only footwear that keep my feet warm so I bought a pair of real sheepskin gloves from John Lewis and they are brilliant they make my fingers feel warm and I've had no white tips or blueness. I wear them for driving even sitting around at home.
I would certainly recommend you try sheepskin, expensive but worth it.
Just the type of response hoping for, thanks. I too have tried thermal, etc not yet tried battery heated but I also find the hug boot great for warm feet so thanks will try sheepskin gloves next, had been told seal skin is good too.
Thanks
Got my answer reading these comments so will be looking out for some. Thank you
I too wear sheepskin gloves inside and out during the winter - they brilliant and sometimes I use them in the summer too. Also my podiatrist made these toe cosies for me to prevent chillblains. He put a handful of sheep wool fleece into both my socks and then after walking about with new orthotics and toe cosies they form little cushions around my toes and helped enormously. I left his consulting room on cloud nine having hobbled in with red raw toes 30 minutes earlier!
I too have tried sheepskin, and also leather gloves with fleece lining. They work as well and are not so bulky as the sheepskin. Also from John Lewis.
I don't have anything specifically wrong circulation wise with my fingers but they get very cold in winter & last year when I bought a new ski jacket from Mountain Warehouse they threw in a pair of fine fleece gloves & was amazed how warm & uncluttering (?) they were, wash like a dream & being fleece dry in no time. If you have problems getting your hands warm try the hand warmers filled with gel & pop them in your gloves. They're not expensive & really do work. Good to pop in your boots too, where your toes go, before you put them on but remember to take them out before you put your foot in!
Ha ha fingers are cold.
