thats something you do need to talk to docs about. i did get this when i first got RA and there are a lot of causes of it so the only thing is to talk to them. Steroids are really helpful for me and I call them my steroid holiday!! just keep an eye out for any changes in your mood, i do get grumpy on them and occasionally a bit low in mood, but mostly they are justs great, short term!

when do you see the Rheumy again, have they started you on any disease modifying drugs yet. Also have you been on the nras page yet?, loads of info on there, nras.org.uk Axx

Welcome. Call your doctor let them know. I had a bad cough and broke a few bones in the upper part of my chest. RA attacks the entire body no bones are protected. Good luck with your pain. I went with shots when I was 16 it did not help. Rest 7 to 8 hours every day, exercise and eat healthy. Try to avoid food that causes inflammation. Taking supplements for pain is another option. Good luck

Hiya Amanda. Welcome & I hope you get as much help, information & support (& some laughs!) from this great site as I have. We're all in the same boat with inflammatory disease to one degree or another & all have information & ideas to share. Some you'll agree with some you won't but that's the way the best forums work. One thing you can be sure of is someone will always be here if all you need is a rant or to share something, even if it's not RD (RA) related.

No doubt will come across one another again!
