Hello!

I just want to say hello to everyone as I'm new to this community though I do post on another forum related to arthritis.

From what I've already seen this seems to be a well run forum with lots of people sharing similar problems.

I look forward to joining in with the posts.

Thank you Popsmith, Nomoreheels and Mandalou. You're all very welcoming and I'm pleased to meet you.

My story, in a nutshell, is that I've had RA since 1986 following the birth of my 2nd son. My joints closed down over 3 weeks rendering me helpless. Re-admitted to hospital and intravenous steroids I had to start battling to get on my feet again and start looking after my toddler of 2 years and my newborn. I've had 3 knees and due for more surgery on my hands.

I am on Enbrel (Etanercept) and love it! I'm also a watercolour artist and am studying French. I have a good, happy life with a loving family and lots of friends. I consider myself a very lucky woman who is a person and not a disease!

I look forward to getting to know you all. xx
