When you have a fever is it an infection or just some... - NRAS
When you have a fever is it an infection or just something that happens when you have RA. What can you do to lower your temp.
Hi , if you are very hot it can sometimes be the inflammation in your body , how I think of it as a little hot water bottle in all my joints, so I feel hot.
But if you have a temperature when you take it, or a cough or pains elsewhere it the body you should see your GP. But I think if you are not sure you need to check with gp anyway xx
Could be an infection. I recently had an urinary tract infection minus any symptoms. I had a temp at the time.
Was hospitalised last year with a nasty UTI and very high temp, and was put on a paracetomol drip to lower it..
As allanah advises - best see your GP,
RA does make bits of you feel very hot, but you shouldn't get a fever. My rule of thumb is that I head straight to the doctor after 3 days with a bit of a high temperature, or straight away if it's over 100F or 35.5C.
(When I had pneumonia I was left uncovered in a cool room with cold air blowing over me....but iI wouldn't recommend it as it was horrid!)
Thank you guys
