Some people might find this interesting, even useful. I've found this helpful at times when I've felt really ill or down.

Hi Cathy, looks interesting and will have a proper read once I get the children to bed, going in circles, I have been meaning to write to Tilda for about 3 weeks now, saw her featured in the latest nras magazine though :)

Just wanted to ask how are you feeling after your injection yesterday? No ill effects hopefully :)

And, just another random thought. I started Ta chi last week, if I remember correct you have tried this? I absolutely loved it, was a harder work out than I ever imagined!

Hello, yes I saw ref to her in the mag.

Well I did the injection OK and sort of felt that things might be shifting yesterday, but I've been quite tired today. Had a wonderful session with my physio this afternoon who has been massaging my knee and loosening it up. So I suppose so far so good!

Good luck with the knee physio ... I found the massages very beneficial and got some more mobility from those. Here's hoping Enbrel will soon start to take good effect! My physio also advocates mindfulness and incorporates meditative elements into his physio sessions.

Cathie. I have been going to mindfulness meditation since September, I go to a Buddhist centre. At first I thought it would be a bit wacky but was open minded. I have to say that I love it, it's my chance to go and relax. The worries of having a chronic illness such as RA can give you anxiety and mindfulness can help you literally calm your mind, and deal with anxieties. I've read this article and found it inspiring, it's good that it is now being fully recognised in the scientific world, and proving that it really does help towards healing mental health issues. Thanks for the link. TT x

I'm so glad that you've been so helped! My recent experiences have shown me that I can't be sure what the future holds. (am always slow to learn!). Mindfulness has helped me cope with this fundamental uncertainty.
