You are invited to the Banbury Area Rheumatoid Arthritis Information evening on Wednesday 21st May 2014

6:30pm – 8:00pm

Aim: To bring together people living with Rheumatoid Arthritis to share information, mutual support and to progress patient care improvements locally.

The Banbury Area Rheumatoid Arthritis Group will be launched at a meeting on 21st May 2014, with the support of the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society and Horton Hospital’s rheumatology team. The meeting is open to anyone living with Rheumatoid or Inflammatory Arthritis as well as their family members, carers and health professionals. This is a free event and everyone is welcome to attend.

NRAS is encouraging people with Rheumatoid or Inflammatory Arthritis living in the area to attend this meeting and find out more about their disease, local rheumatology services and the invaluable services on offer from NRAS.

NRAS – helping people living with RA to have a better life by:

•Providing a UK Network of people living with RA

•Providing a comprehensive website with information on RA from health professionals

•Offering information on living with the condition and better self management

•Providing a free-phone helpline, available 9.30 to 4.30, Monday to Friday

•Contributing to improving standards of care for RA

•Lobbying the Government for a better deal for people living with RA in the UK

Following this launch event we are hoping there will be regular group meetings. This local group will offer mutual support, information and the opportunity to contribute to the development of long term patient care within your local NHS.

We do hope you will be able to join us at this launch meeting and/or attend future meetings. We look forward to welcoming you from 6.15pm on Wednesday 18th June at Banbury Early Intervention Hub, New Futures Centre, Hilton Road, Banbury, OX16 0EJ.

(This is on the Woodgreen Leisure Centre site – free parking)

Please let us know if you plan to attend so we can ensure adequate seating and refreshments – call 01628 823 524 or email groups@nras.org.uk by 12th May 2014.
