I think perhaps you should tell your GP or ring your nurse...I hope you sort it out soon honey. Maryx
Definitely think you should do what Mary says. It could be nothing, but it is best to get it checked out asap. Hope you get it sorted out.
Persistent cough is one of the reportable events - so ring your rheumy nurse/team ASAP.

Do you take any other medications, for hypertension, for instance? I know from experience that some anti hypertensives have the side effect of a persistent dry cough. It drove me mad but once I came off the medication it went away completely. Clemmie
Thanks for all your replies. The only other medication is a beta blocker but I had the cough before I started on betablockers
Beta blockers are known to cause a cough. But definitely get it checked. Clemmie
I had a dry cough on methotrexate and did get quite breathless on 20mgs injection. Now on 10mgs injection and its gone. Worth a call to your to your nurse.

Methotrexate is so horrible. Come to think of it, I had a persistent coff as well. I was on it for a couple of years, eventually was able to get off the drugs.
Hi scouser, thanks for your concern about my joint damage. Fortunately, my joints are fine though. I've been off the drugs for 2.5 years and my CRP is <1 as of 2 weeks ago. Joints are constantly cool, non-swollen and calm. Took me 5 years of enormous self-healing, cleansing, green juicing, Bikram Yoga, digestive enzymes, Vitamin D increase, alkalizing and elimination diet and quite a bit more. But it's do-able. So that's been my journey.
Just because it's worked for Clint doesn't mean it'd work for others!
