Is it just me ?
Hi ..Ive been offline for a bit because of my shoulders and carpal tunnels which Im about to have operated on (one side at a time thankfully) ... and yes I often have that feeling when mine feels like they are out of the socket but they arent. As far as I know I dont have unstable shoulder joints but thats not to say yours arent. Have you had them checked out?
In both I have impingement, bursitis, synovitis, calcific tendonitis and full thickness tears of 4 rotator cuffs as well as arthritic joints so there can be many other things that can be going on at once to give the impression of them feeling out of place.... and it can get you down when pain goes on and on which is why Im having mine fixed.
Hiya Netbuddy, not sure if mine my is the same, but the socket in my shoulder is vey clicky there is constant pain from neck to shoulder and down my arm,I have had Steroids injections which work for a few weeks
then it's back to being painful. My Dr says I have a overload of Steroid so like you can't have any more.i don't know if there is any help out there or so it seems.Hope you feel better soon.
I had an ultrasound scan which showed I had 3 tendons out of place. Maybe you could ask for one.
My GP says the shoulder socket is very shallow so it won't take much for it to feel dislocated.
Best to get this checked out. My mum is in her 80s and has a dislocated shoulder. It has been out so long it can't be put back. She is of the generation that does not complain too much. The shoulder joint is a shallow cup and is kept stable by muscles and tendons.
