This is enough! Enough from any one who would cause one more long-tem, or even new, associate of NRAS to leave because of inforgiveable behaviour and unwarranted comments!
It is time to come out in the open, say what you feel you must to everyone in the group!
To hide behind the mask of anonymity is cowardice. To hurt an innocent, very good, kindly person is unthinkable.
So out with it!!! Enough of this bs!
This is a site to help each other feel beter, to be supportive and encouraging. So, if you are complaining and criticizing, you sure as H as not being either!
I don't cry. Hardly ever. But reading about loosing a dear friend makes me cry, tears are blurring the letters,

Oh Lorann please don't cry, I haven't been very active for a while, but I do have a peep at the threads of conversation regularly and I'm so sorry that you are upset at the thought of losing a good friend. These cowards who hide behind other people so that they can be abusive and nasty to people who least deserve it, need to think again.
I only wonder if they are suffering in silence with RA and are taking their anger about having the condition out on the very people who will listen and help them if they can.
I only hope that Mads will think twice about leaving this otherwise lovely community and good friends like you. Take care sweety, and I hope you can get some sleep tonight. Love June xx
Thank you June. I am just so disgusted to have to know there are such people! Maybe I am more naive than I think, but we all try to teach our kids and grandkids to be good, kind, thoughtful, respectful, caring people, so how can there be people like that?
They can't use RA, or anger about it as an excuse. I'm pretty sure I haven't seen anybody here comment by saying, "RA? Big deal, doesn't bother me"hahaha that would be ludicrous, if that were the case they wouldn't be here on the site.
We have lost good people, that just cannot continue! I am wondering if any could be hackers, is there someone deliberately hacking into our site to say these things? Or are the ones wo sent PMs people we have heard of?

Dear Loret & June, it's 1pm in the morning and I can't sleep because so many good kind people here have been upset. I wish I could wave a magic wand and make it all disappear. Hopefully everybody will see there is so much more positive goodness here and stay.

I read these posting regularly and I have never read any offensive comments about RA, or to any of your comments. I have heard of other people leaving the site in the past because of offensive comments, but that was a few years ago and the comments were not actually nasty. Could some one be hacking into the personal e-mail address of some of the people who are posting under the NRAS and sending nasty comments?
I have just received an e-mail from NRAS to say that two people have actually hacked into members personal email addresses and that NRAS were 'on the ball', and banned them straight away. Which is good to know. I have just read Mads comments and I didn't realise the extent of the problem. I don't get a chance to read all of the posts, so I didn't see the subtle nasty comments. I can't see or understand why anyone would get a thrill out of making nasty comments to another individual. Its a bit like small man syndrome or small p.... syndrome being nasty because of you own short comings so to speak espec ( I won't say it .. double ontond ).
I so agree with you, It's Bliddy unfair that people Bully......Loran I'm so glad you dedicated this to Mads........So bully's out there, we won't accept your rubbish and bullying ok.. Just so you know!.......I THINK MADS SHOULD HAVE NAMED AND SHAMED THEM!!!
Hi Loret, You are not the only one who is hopping mad at the moment, I am to, too many decent people have left lately and for what the bullies, well from now on any time I read any type of bullying then I am going to hit the report button. I'd also like to add my comments re the bullying going on at the moment. I've been a member for two years now and have never seen anything like it before!
I have been put off posting recently, as I'm paranoid enough without adding to it! The thought of receiving a reply that's critical or bullying is quite enough to keep me silent! I've now lost a true cyber friend and it's upset me so much. In fact I think we've all lost some friends who kept us amused with their posts and comments etc. I for one will be keeping very much in the background from now on.
This is exactly what I don't want I to do, please keep supporting me with ur wise comments, if there is a hacker then we will all report them and all of us are still here for you my friend , stay with us and blog!
I am ashamed, I go off to seey family and come back to lots of unhappy texts, what must our new members think?

Hi everyone for some reason havent been able to get on here for over a week. Dam thing keeps asking me to get a new password and then when I do it wont let me on. Boohoo. Hi to all, Haven't posted for a while, but so sad to hear these comments. My daughter and husband ran the Great North Run for NRAS as they are a lifeline!!! I too got an email about people hacking into emails. These people need to grow up and get a life. Do report anything that offends and keep smiling as we all have enough to cope with. Go and give someone you love a hug and hopefully that will make you feel better. Take care to all you lovely people.
There are many more cases out there on the Welfare News Service, DPAC, Black Triangle etc. Any of us who share on this and other sites can be targeted. It's vicious, highly damaging, and knowingly designed to hurt and potentially create mental health problems. It's not a society I recognise, and this is a direct result of the rhetoric of the Government, in particular Ian (Duncan) Smith and his department, and the highly discriminatory nature of the DWP cuts falling over & over again on our shoulders.
Firstly we must all be active in reporting abuse, and expect the site providers to be quick & active too in closing these thugs down. We must offer support to each other. There is a responsibility for all of us, including NRAS to publicise this trolling and to copy these comments as evidence to our MPs. It's hard, but try not to take it personally or engage with these monsters, that's what they want. I wouldn't give them that power to hurt,
Someone should name and shame them, but by leaving the bullies are winning and we don't want that now do we. Lets try and band together and try and put paid to these bullies. I love you all and i am glad your my friends.xxx

I am sorry to hear of the issues surrounding the community this weekend. We are in the process of investigating what has occurred and in the meantime would appreciate it if this thread and others which refer to the problems could come to an end now.
I will attempt to get in touch with those who have left the site and hope they will return. The site was set up to provide peer to peer support and it is sad to hear on occasion that this is not always the case.
I appreciate your support in this matter and please rest assured that we are aware of what has occurred. Thank you for your cooperation and I hope everyone can move on and continue to keep our community a safe and supportive place for everyone living with RA to come for help.
