I had my first "pen" of Humira around10 days ago My feet and hands feel like I have been sitting on them since. Should I be worried?

Same here! I've had two injections and my hands and feet feel like when you foot goes to sleep and it comes round with a fizzy pins and needles like feeling. Sorry can't help, but hope somebody else can us both!

Both should contact your rheumy teams. No medical advice should be sought on here really. It would be good to learn what you are both told though.

I agree with Tilda, call your rheumy nurse and let them know what is happening. It could be a passing thing but let them know anyhow......hope it works out well for you both.....let us know. Jean XXX

Hi all

Please may I thank you all for taking the time to answer me.

I was finally able to speak to the Biologic specialist nurse at the hospital today. Although pins and needles would appear to be a very common side effect with Humira, I was told to use no more until I had visited my GP and had blood tests taken. I did that this afternoon.

Don't have a hospital appointment till September and will be surprised if I see anyone there before then. 2plus2 although sorry that you are having the same side effect, I was so glad I am not the only one. It feel really weird.

The GP (a locum) said that pins and needles can also be connected with Pernicious Anaemia

for which I have been having B12 injection for years. Io I don't really think that is the case as the pins and needles started three or four hours after my injection.

It will be interesting to find out what will happen.

Hi all,

Sorry it's taken so long to reply. Have been to my GP. Having some extra blood tests this week to check out if there is anything else going on, but I'm sure it's the humira. Not stopping it I've failed so many others that I need to keep going with this one.
