Hello bigmommy

I don't have experience of Enbrel but I just wanted to say how sorry I am that you are feeling so down. I am in a similar place myself so I do sympathise and really hope it passes soon.

Thinking of you.

I have been on Enbrel for a few years without this side effect.

I wonder if, maybe, the thought of having to inject every week from now on, and the awareness of what RA means has got to you? It is OK to grieve the loss of good health.

I do hope you are feeling better today. Do you have family and friends to give you some warm hugs? Don't bottle things up, have a good cry and find a shoulder or two. i find going for a good walk lifts my spirits. Sending you lots of love.xxx

Thank you for your thoughts and i hope that you are as well as you can be xxx

Hi, I am on Embrel and I find that when my body is not too good that's when I want to cry, so I rather think it's the disease rather than the drug. You mentioned that you had your first injection last week, have you completed it this week yet? Like all these drugs it takes a while before it kicks in. From the latest comments it looks as though you are having a better day today, long may it continue. Take care. xx

I started last December and there is definite improvement but not to my hubby's thinking, he expected miracles! He thought I would be able to walk as before this all started, me I just wanted the pain of it all to go. Yes I take less painkillers and yes I can walk more than last December. My wrists can hold a kettle now, so am improved. What I have noticed is my 'well being' has improved overall and that the illness is following a pattern each week. Monday inject, Tuesday - Thursday feeling good, Friday - Sunday starting to go down hill a bit in the tiredness and wanting to sit more often between doing things. Have been assured the Tuesday to Thursday will increase over time to Tuesday to Monday.
