I've suffered with depression for ten years, I have a L5-S1 disc prolapse which i have had to endure for the past six years and now have Osteoarthritis in both my shoulders, fingers and hips. I am in pain all day every day.

I am petrefied of going to the interview and what they might make me do, if anyone can help to reassure me i would be very, very grateful.

Thanks all,

MsCol x

Hi mitzymoo

Thank you so much for your kind words, they mean so much.

It's so hard trying to get people to believe you have things wrong with you, that they can't physically see.

God bless x

Hi Angel

Hope you are baring up ok.

And just in case,

You don't need a formal prayer

Or invocation to call

The angels to your side,

Simply think " Angels

Please surround me, "

And they are there!

Take care and angel blessings xx

Hi Angel

The problem with alot of the medical profession seem to only treat what they can see, if it is not easy to find they just wash their hands of you by saying,it might sort itself out, if not deal with it!!

I choked on some food, and abit went down the wrong hole as I call it. The right side of my face went numb and my gp said it was neuralgia and I would be ok in about 3to4 weeks.

A few days later I was having a girly night with my friend like you do, glass or 2 of wine chocy etc, and we started giggling and I couldn't stop. And started coughing and something clicked in my neck and my whole right side went numb.

I was told it was a mini stroke, but nothing showed up on any scans! I was 35yrs old! The neurologist said my scans were clear but it could be an unnamed problem and if the feeling was going to come back, it would be within 6 months.

I'm 44 in August and still numb! I have to take gabapentin to ease the phantom limb syndrome as I have squeezed and gouged my nails into my arm in my sleep trying to stop the pain! I can feel joint pain and if the temperature drops quickly I get a pain that is like my arm is being trapped and I have to put thick hoody on and heat pad to stop the pain!

I asked to be referred back 2yrs later as nothing had changed and I hoped they'd check me again and I was told if it hadn't come back by now it never will so deal with it!!

That was when I really started to believe in Angels as I told them my fears and asked them to watch over us and I have got through the really dark times with their help and that is why I give people in need the same help and support I got.

I am dreading being reassessed! But everyone is in the same boat!!

I'm leaving it in the arms of our guardian angels to help, support, guide and protect us all from harm and people inflicting negativity and pain to anyone in need.

I hope you have a lovely painless if possible weekend, I'm getting my nails done so I'll be happy!

Take care and gently hugs and angel blessings xx

Hi MsCol,

Here is some information about the 'work-focused interviews' from Disability Rights UK.

'At this interview a ‘personal adviser’ will discuss your work prospects, the steps that you are willing to take to move into work and the support available to you.

For people put in the Work Related Activity Group these interviews will normally take place each month and at them the personal adviser will try to help you back into work. The adviser will draw up an ‘action plan’, which will outline the activities that you could undertake to help you move into work.

You cannot be required, as part of a work related activity, to apply for a job, undertake paid work or voluntary work or undergo medical treatment.'

I hope this is useful. If you are still worried you should always contact Citizens Advice or DIAL UK.

Leo
