Coming off meds...

I've come off all my medication I.e methotrexate , sulphasalazine & hydroxy to enable me to start ivf in the new year. Has anyone else had to come off the meds for any reason & how did you feel?

don't want to put you on a downer but I came off Methotrexate for 3 weeks earlier this year and after 1 week, it was pure agony and had to re instate it. Have you had medical advice re coming off the drugs? Good luck with your IVF, hope all works well for ypu

I never started methotrexate bc i had t had kids yet. I was on hydroxychloroquin prednisone and Celebrex. I did IVF. As soon as I was pregnant I stopped all meds. Stayed off for 19 and a 1/2 weeks then I had to go back on hydroxychloroquin bc I was causing too much damage to my joints. I was terribly miserable in pain but I didn't want to be on meds when all the development was going on. It was really tough but now I have a beautiful baby girl. Totally worth it. Helped that I had a great support system to help me. Good luck

Hello. I am just on hydroxy for a year now...was allergic to Sulpha within 1 month, MTX struggled with tablets then injections. Felt ill and very sore 4/7 so no quality of life. I have told them not taking it any more and now have loads of energy. Good luck with the IVF x
