This is actually day 2 for me. Been in bed for over 24 hours with chest infection and Im not a happy person right now. Feeling miserable and a little scared I guess..hoping its nothing sinister. Need to make a doctors appointment but feeling anxious.

Morning Paula, sorry to hear you have a chest infection, not nice..... BUT on the plus side ( there always needs to be a plus :)) you probably don't feel like smoking hence no cigs for 24 hours, anxiety has been a big issue for me in past quits so I empathise with that, particularly over your health, but what I will say to you is get to the docs for some antibiotics to clear chest infection, also keep ploughing on with the quit, hopefully chest infections will be a thing of the past for you, good luck and try not to worry xx

Thankyou DonnaJ. Will try and get a doctors appointment this morning. Chest feeling very dry from all the coughing and spluttering and breathing seems wheezy when I try to inhale deeply. Very scarey to say the least. . Yep, I certainly do not want another one of those dreaded weeds. I guess im angry at myself for going back to smoking cause I know Ive coped really well in the past with giving up the cold turkey method. This time will be no different. I certainly do not like to prolong the agony of withdrawal. Even though I don't feel like smoking because of my symptoms at the moment, I did get a few cravings yesterday but have no cigs in house so Im not tempted. To be truthful, even though ive money in my purse, I wont be buying. I certainly am angry at myself for letting my chest get into this state in the first place. I knew I was getting wheezy but I still chose to smoke and not listen to what my body was trying to tell me. So so stupid of me.
