Aztazticz Welcome from down under and I wish you all the luck in the world... I believe there is no Magic pill but there is a pill that can help if you really want to Quit
You might still have all the withdrawal symptoms which is not nice for certain persons.... Then there will be some emotions and the moment you take control of your emotions you are on the winning side
I was addicted for 38 years and smoked 40 per day......I used Champix and believed it worked for me.. I am 100 days smoke free and feel that I will never smoke again... It is so nice to be a non smoker !!
Good luck friend, I'm starting tomorrow as well with champix. I know there's no magic pills but I'm willing to give it a go because I've tried on my own and failed miserably. Keep posting, your rant will be motivation for many others.
Well hello from my homeland, welcome to the forum, you my friend are going to find some real support from these guys, we tend to take one hour at a time then extend it to I day at a time , just remember vent as often as you wish no-one minds, we are all trying to achieve exactly the same thing, there are some wonderful people here so please come on often and read Allen Carr book if you can get your bands on one so much info and support, a lot of oeople for the first few days come on every day and talk about it please do, love to hear your progress
As Jillibean says, don't be afraid to take it hour by hour (or half-hour if necessary). Tick the hours off ... then tick the days off ... etc.
It is a battle, no doubt about it, but it is so worth it!
Nothing will take the place of your will-power and you need to really want/be determined to quit (no half-hearted attempts because you think you ought to) - but turn to anything that helps you get through. Good luck - I guess you started today.
Keep posting!
